How long trademark filing in India takes
An uncontested application takes somewhere between six months and two years from filing to registration, depending on whether objections are raised and how fast the Registry moves. You can use ™ from the date of filing. The ® symbol comes only after registration.

What I handle
Trademark search. Before you file, we check whether the mark is available. Filing a mark that clashes with an existing registration wastes the fee and the wait. A proper search at the start saves that.
Trademark filing. Choosing the right class matters as much as the mark itself. File in the wrong class and the registration will not protect the thing you actually sell. I identify the correct class or classes and file the application.
Examination reply. Most applications draw an examination report raising objections, often under Section 9 or Section 11. This is normal and it is not the end of the application. It needs a reasoned reply with supporting material, filed within the deadline.
Opposition. If a third party opposes your mark, or if you need to oppose someone else's, the matter goes to a full set of pleadings and evidence before the Registry.
Registration and renewal. Once registered, the mark lasts ten years and is renewable. I handle the renewal and track the dates so you do not lose the mark to a missed deadline..
