Contract Drafting and Legal Advisory in Kochi, Kerala
I draft and review contracts and give legal opinions for businesses and individuals in Kochi and across Kerala.
What I handle
Contract drafting. Service agreements, vendor and supply contracts, partnership deeds, employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, licensing and franchise agreements, and settlement agreements.
Contract review. Reading what someone has put in front of you and telling you what it means, what it costs you, and what to negotiate before you sign.
Legal opinions. A written view on a specific question, which you can rely on and act upon.
Commercial advisory. Guidance on structure, obligations and risk for a business making a decision with legal consequences.
How i handle contract
A contract is not a weapon. Most contracts I see are written as though the other party is an enemy who must be contained through every conceivable clause. Those contracts are long, they are unreadable, and they make the relationship worse from the day of signing.
The better test is whether both parties can read the document, understand what they have agreed to, and know what happens if something goes wrong. A clear contract prevents disputes. A defensive one just gives you more ground to fight on once the dispute has already started.
I write contracts a person can read.
Common questions
Do I need a written contract?
An oral agreement can be enforceable. Proving its terms is the problem. Writing it down costs a fraction of what proving it costs later.
Can I use a template from the internet?
You can, and for something low-value it may be fine. Templates are drafted for a different jurisdiction and a different transaction. They tend to fail in the specific place your matter turns on.
What does contract review cost?
It depends on length and complexity. It is always less than the litigation that follows a bad contract.
